Sin  to miss the mark

God created us to be in loving relationship with him and his creation

Sin was when we missed that through the fall

The goal is to love God and others

 

When we fail to honor others then we fail to honor God

Sin is more than about doing bad things

 

Fist appearance of sin is Genesis 4:7

Cain and Abel

Khata is crouching at the door 

failed human behavior which makes us act for our own benefit

If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.”

Iniquity: Avon means twisted or crooked A-von

malformed or bent out of shape

murder, adultery, deceitfulness, broken faith, violence and other harm

 

 Transgression: Pesha pe-sha

transgression violation of trust

 

All sin equally separates us from God but all sin is not equal

Sin miss the mark, a mistake

Avon persistent habit of wrong

Pesha deliberate breaking of Trust and disobedience

 

Thank God that He covers it all!

How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,

Whose sin is covered!

How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,

And in whose spirit there is no deceit! Psalm 32:1-2

 

Jesus on the cross, Father Forgive them for they know not what they are doing

Sin they were missing the mark
