Let's Do This Again

Season #4

In this episode, Staci and Elizabeth discuss the "again-ness" of life. Do you ever feel like you are caught on the merry-go-round of life? If so, this episode is for you.

Word of the Year: Reconciliation 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 'Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. '

Fun Facts: the average person will eat about 87,000 meals in their life Brush their teeth about 59,000 times Grocery shop about 10,000 times Clean house 4,000 times Get dressed about 30,000 times But how do we deal with it? We all understand this is something we will experience throughout our lives–most things we do, we do over and over–think about it…there are few things we do once or twice–those are the special moments, the special experiences, but the minutiae of life is unavoidable…and constant….brush your teeth, eat, take the shower, get dressed….on and on….

How do we feel joy in the again-ness? How do we feel purposeful in the again-ness?

Let’s look to Scripture… Colossians 3:23-24 tells us: Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Here is something else: Jeremiah 31:2-5: I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin Israel! Again you shall adorn yourself with tambourines and shall go forth in the dance of the merrymakers. Again you shall plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant and shall enjoy the fruit. This is a reminder of God’s again-ness! As His faithfulness continues, He AGAIN will build us up, AGAIN will give us joy, AGAIN will provide exactly what we need to sustain us, AGAIN let us enjoy the fruits of our labors…
