What does it look like to pursue God?
Pursue: to follow in order to overtake, capture or kill
To follow close upon
To chase after something
Start where you are
Start simple
Start with surrender
Do you currently attend church in person?
Allow God to direct the conversation
How do you most often approach your time with God?
To get answers to questions, solutions to your problems or do you simply seek time in His presence?
Hold onto God’s promise:
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8
If you are not being intentional about pursuing God, apathy takes place
Where can you make ‘time’ sacrifice?
Scrolling social media, online shopping, binge watching TV
Replace one of those activities with 10 minutes of prayer and or scripture reading
Psalm 25:4-5, Psalm 27:8,
Savor Moment:
Be intentional in your pursuit of God. It takes time and attention to pursue Him but it is totally worth it. Remember Jesus is the bread of life.
Buy these frozen rolls and place them in a greased muffin tin. Allow them to thaw out and then cover them with a cloth and allow them to rise. Bake according to package directions and then cover with salted butter. Taste and see that the Lord is good.
